The first idea of a education path in our city began in early 2019. Active young people within our community came up with the idea to build a education path, which has not been in our city yet. Ideas and planning became action thanks to the project „Education Paths for All“, which was supported by the European Solidarity Corps program. In this project, we want to build two education paths, the first in the Dubie district and the second in the „Škorčie“ recreation zone.
The Education Path directs to the hiking sidewalk Horná Skoňa. It consists of 6 stands: begins in the begining of the forest where the introductory board is located with the information about this Path. It continues to the tourist sidewalk towards the former „bunker“, but served as an observer. Towards to the Tábor, you will find other information boards about fauna and flora in region Kysuce. Near the Christian Cross, there is anothe board with information about beekeeping in Kysuce. The Path ends just below the Lookout Tower Tábor. The hiking route has about 6 km and takes average pace for about 3 hours.
