On 3th June was the World`s bicycle day. People participated in this event also in Kysucke Nove Mesto. Several active young people (who often spend their free time in youth club) took part in an orientation in a city and it`s surroundings. This orientation was made with the help of modern technology – actionbound app. In this app it`s possible to create a route for an orientation with many checkpoints. When the participants reach the checkpoints, they will get a notification in their app and get a 100 points.
The route was made by me (Nik). As it was a bicycle day, the orientation was by bicycles. I did 10 checkpoints. 3 of them were out of Kysucke city. 2 of these checkpoints turned out to be difficult. Participants managed not to find all checkpoints in one day, but the next day they found all. It was because the route in actionbound was not logical (the way to one checkpoint to another was inconvinient and youngsters had often drive back and then again like that). But all in all the orientation with the bikes was more interesting than just to cycle around and this was how the bicycle day passed in Kysucke.
