Rozhladna tabor final

The old lookout tower on Tábor Hill was destroyed in the 1950s after a devastating calamity. The lookout tower serves as a view of the whole town and Dolné Kysuce, but also for fire patrols for foresters to monitor the forest and its surroundings. The original idea came from Marián Antecký supplemented by the proposals of Eng. Ján rajtek, the project itself was prepared by Eng. ján vojtek, Eng. jaroslav odrobiňák added static reviews and ing. martin olesňan prepared a fire safety project.

In May 2014, work began on building foundations that are sunk to a depth of 160 cm, on which 29 m3 of concrete, 24 tons of quarry stone, 650 kg of steel profiles, 1150 kg of dry concrete and 10 concrete mats were used. The work was resumed in the spring of 2015. Fir from the urban forest was used for the construction of the lookout tower.

The above-ground work was performed by the Canadian Teeth Company. and sheet metal roofing was supplied by the KRAAL company. The lookout tower is located at an altitude of 697 m above sea level and provides a circular view of the surroundings and hills of Malá Fatra, Rozsutec, Stoh, Chleb, Malý and Veľký Kriváň, Kysucká vrchovina, Malý and Veľký Vreteň and Kysucká brána.
